Oderen is a member of the Vallée de Saint-Amarin Community of Communes (CCVSA), which brings together the 14 villages of the upper Thur valley.

One valley, shared resources
The CCVSA is a public inter-municipal cooperation body: the villages of the upper Thur valley entrust it with the responsibilities that are more effective when carried out together — territorial development, everyday services, major facilities. The area stretches from the Bussang pass to the Markstein ridges, in the heart of the Ballons des Vosges Regional Nature Park.

Support for businesses and business parks across the valley, around the emblematic Parc de Wesserling.
Tourism & heritage
Promotion of the High Vosges of Alsace: trails, textile industrial heritage, outdoor activities.
Waste & environment
Household waste collection and recovery, inter-municipal recycling centre and prevention initiatives.
Childhood & after-school
Early-childhood care, after-school services and activities for the valley's young people.
Territorial planning
Planning, housing and mobility designed at valley scale, together with the Ballons des Vosges park.
Facilities & services
Sports, cultural and leisure facilities serving the residents of the 14 villages.
